You can select the style of the document listing provided by the TIMS3 Project Navigator:
The small or large icon display will show you the document name with
an icon representing the file transfer status.
The Detailed listing will provide you with a
variety of additional information displaying one document or file per
line. If you are in the document view, the information presented is
as follows:
The document name (i.e. file name)
The document ID
A description of the document
The size and modification date
The current status
The name of the user who has it checked out
When the file was checked out and the name of the
workstation that has it.
The current file transfer status (i.e. checked out, or checked in)
In the file list view, you will see:
The file name
The file size (in kbytes)
The file protection (as set on the server)
The modified date stamp of the file on the server
The current status
The name of the user who has it checked out
When the file was checked out and the name of the
workstation that has it.
The current file transfer status (i.e. checked out,
or checked in)
You can select the order in which the document information is listed by clicking on the column heading that you want to use as the sort key.
You can re-size the width of any of the columns, and the new column widths will be retained the next time you run the Project Navigator.
Document Number is included for easy reference.
Various icons are used to represent the documents depending on the document status, i.e. whether the document has been checked out for modification or review, and whether you have the rights to check-out the document on the server.
These icons are:
|
Documents that are available for check out or copy out |
|
(white background) |
|
Documents that are already copied out to this node |
|
(green background) |
|
Documents that are already checked out to this node |
|
(white background with a green check mark) |
|
Documents that are already checked out to another node |
|
(white background with a red check mark) |
|
Documents that are already checked out to another node and are copied out to this node. |

This legend is also available in the on-line help.
Note: the white background icon simply means that the document is available for checkout, but actual user access to the file will be determined during the checkout. Currently, the users domain login rights are compared against the diskfiles NT security attributes (assuming the file is on a NTFS file system). In File List view, the RW attribute display indicates that the current login account does have access to check out the file. A future enhancement will determine the access rights to the document for the user based on a TIMS3 database check.
