
Project Navigator (PNav) provides the ability for the general user to configure their own settings. PNav also allows a TIMS3 'Data Manager' user class to configure site wide settings. Both of these settings dialogs are available in PNav under the Tools menu at the bottom of the list as shown:
'Information messages' displays additional messages in response to user actions. 'File transfer verification messages' prompts for confirmation of certain file transfer actions. Currently, only the "cancel check out" function uses this option.

'Drag and drop verification messages' prompts for confirmation of the various drag and drop operations as described in the section below.
'Document records without associated file names' will display all document records in the database, even if they are not associated with files located on the server, i.e. if they describe paper documents located in a filing cabinet or vault.
'All projects' will list all projects defined in the TIMS3 database,
irrespective of the status of the project. If this option is not
selected, the Project Navigator will only display active projects.
'Applaunch window' will start a MicroStation applications launcher when double-clicking on a MicroStation document. This application launcher will allow you to select the MicroStation workspace, project and user interface before MicroStation is started. See the MicroStation Support section for details.
'Cancel window when loading files' will allow you to cancel the listing of a project or sub-project containing many documents or files. A window is displayed while the document/file information is retrieved from the server allowing you to cancel the operation.
The series of disabled General user property settings is set by your TIMS3 'Data Manager' user class (TIMS Administrator) and are displayed read-only on this dialogue for at-a-glance information:
'TIMS Accounting' indicates TIMS3 automatic accounting facility is enabled.
'Enable drag and drop' indicates that you may drag document/file
icons within the Project Navigator window to move or copy documents
across projects. When set, you may also drag files between other
windows on your desktop and the Project Navigator window. In this
manner, files can be copied to the selected project on the TIMS3
server, optionally initiating a document register operation.
'Replace Documents' indicates that the users are
allowed to replace existing files with new files. To replace existing
files, user must have rights to modify the exiting files.
'Add document record for Drag and Drop files' will force the registering of a document when a file is dragged from an external window to the Project Navigator window. A document register window will be displayed allowing the entry of document information.
'Default to last accessed TIMS3 site' will force the project navigator to login to the last accessed TIMS3 site.
'Auto expand this Doc Type' specifies a doc type preference for rapid access to file records.
