Associate Groups:
Associate groups provide a way of controlling the access to the TIMS3 documents. In some cases, we cannot extract all groups that the user is a member of from the global domain. This will prohibit the user from accessing documents that belong to the groups that are missing from the user's group list.
The above problem can be solved with the use of Associate Groups. The associate group is an option in the Site settings that can only be accessed by TIMS3 Administrators.
Click Site Settings option in the TOOLS menu

To view associate groups, click Groups Tab

The associate groups are listed on the left-hand side. A list of all groups is available on the right-hand side.
To add and associate groups, first select a group from the all groups list and drag it to associate groups and drop it on a parent group.
To delete an associate group, simply select the group you want to delete and press the 'Delete' key.
To solve the above problem, simply drag the domain users from the all groups and drop it on the associate groups. Then drag each of the associate groups (i.e. dept_66, dept_71, and dept_74) from the all groups and drop on the domain users.
Similarly, you can create any other associate group hierarchies.
