The first table that you will modify is the groups table. As described in an earlier section of this manual, you need to define in this table which user groups can access the TIMS3 system.
The groups that you define in this maintenance section should correspond with the primary groups that TIMS3 users belong to. If a user that is not part of a group defined in this table, and tries to access TIMS3, the user will receive an error message:
This user will have limited access to the TIMS3 database - he will be able to review project and document information from within the TIMS3 Data Manager application, but he will not be able to check out or copy out documents.
