Various TIMS3 reports are provided to allow you to request listings
of the information stored in the TIMS3 database in a formatted and
organized way.
You can select the Reporting option from the main TIMS3 switchboard.
This will present you with a screen allowing you to pick the various
reporting options.

For each report selected, you will be prompted to enter the report title. Your company name and logo as defined in the Maintenance / Preferences section will appear on each page of the report.
You will notice that from this window you have access to various controls and options for generating the report:

Report Type |
This allows you to select which type of report you wish to generate. The details for each report type are described below. Included in the report type is the size of paper needed to print the report. |

Sort Order |
This determines how the report should be organized. The options allows here depend on the report type selected. For example, if you select the detailed drawing report, you can request a sort order by Document Name or by Client Reference Number. |

Projects or Charge No. |
You can generate the various reports for all projects or for a selected set of projects. This option is available only for the document reports. The selection is switched to charge numbers when a PC accounting reports is selected. |
|
Groups |
You may limit reports to documents belonging to specific groups or departments defined in the system. |
|
Documents |
You can generate reports for a specific set of documents that you can select. |

Detailed Report |
This report is printed in landscape on legal size paper and lists all drawing revisions with:

Detailed Report Most Recent Revision |
This lists the most recent revision of the selected documents, showing the same information as the previous report. |
|
Document Records without Files |
This exception report lists all document records where the file recorded in the document information cannot be found on the associated projects file server. |

Drawing Summary Report |
This option is used to report the percentage completion of drawings. It includes:
The average percentage completion of drawings for the groups and/or projects, depending on your sort order, will be generated in the summary section of the report. |

Drawing Technical Report |
This lists specific drawing information such as the plot scale and working units. It provides a summary of the disk space used for each group and/or project, depending on your selected sort order. |
|
Files without Document Record |
This exception report alerts you to those files that exist on the server that do not have corresponding records in the document database |

Summary Report |
This report lists the last revision of the selected documents with the following information:

PC Usage |
These reports summarize the accounting data that is recorded in the system. The PC Usage Summarized report allows you to select a sort order based on any one field. The PC Usage Summarized by Documents reports on the usage sorted by document name. It lists the user that worked on the document, the application that was used, the time spent working on the document, the workstation used, and the type of operation performed (i.e. modify or review). The PC Usage Summarized by User will have the same information but sorted by user. For both reports, you can select a secondary sort key, for example, by date or by workstation node name. |

As you select the report type, you will be presented with the valid sort options, and if applicable, the projects, groups and documents you wish to include in the report.
For example, if the Drawing Summary Report is selected, you may sort by:
Client Reference Number
Document Description
Document ID
Percentage Complete
You may click either on the Print button to send the formatted report directly to the printer, or on the Preview button which provides you with a display of how the report will appear on paper. If you approve the report, you can elect to print it.
