Giffels provides a utility called DBSync as part of the TIMS3 product. The DBSync utility is used to:
Synchronize document records and physical files
Synchronize project records and physical directories
This utility is delivered with the TIMS3 XFER File Server product and is intended to run only on the file server (for TIMS3 FULL Version), not client workstations (since there is no server with the TIMS3 LITE version you can run this on any workstation).
TIMS3 DBSync is a synchronization utility used to synchronize both project records and physical directories, and document records and physical files.
This utility is designed to bulk load documents and projects into the TIMS3 database. Generally, this utility is used at the beginning of a TIMS3 installation to synchronize the existing files and projects with the database. As well, this can be used to bulk import large amounts of new files and project folders into the system.
Administrators can also use this utility to perform a bimonthly synchronization to catch any out-of-synch records.
