Introduction

Cleanup and Project Replication are the two main functions of the TIMS3 Cleanup utility. Cleanup is used to check-in non-permanent documents back to the server and updates the permanently checked out documents on workstations. Project Replication is used to maintain a local copy of a remote project, including all documents and database records. An individual function or even both functions can be executed automatically by adding an entry in scheduler or by selecting manually. A log file is generated for each run of Cleanup, Project Replication or both. The TIMS3 Cleanup utility can only be executed on the TIMS3 file server.

The left pane, a tree view, is used to display the hierarchy of TIMS3 file server and workstations need to be cleaned. The right pane, a list view, is used to display all documents that are checked out. The window display should update the toolbar command buttons similar to those shown below.

To manually update a replica, open the TIMS3 Cleanup utility on the TIMS3 file server and select the 'Replicated File List' from the toolbar pull-down options. In here, the tree view is used to display the hierarchy of TIMS3 local file server, remote sites and replicated projects need to be replicated. The list view is used to display all documents that are replicated. The window display should update the toolbar command buttons similar to those shown below.
