Update Document Reference (or PASS 5) is used to maintain reference file listing for all master documents. This process selects master documents that have references and store the reference information in a database table. The PASS 5 is part of the TIMS Cleanup utility that is normally scheduled to run once each evening. The PASS 5 takes place at the tail end of the TIMS Cleanup process.
The reference files option in the Project Navigator is divided into two new options.

The master list option will list the master files for the selected files. In this case, the selected files are considered as reference files and master files are listed under each of the selected files. The master files are listed with their project ID and Project Name (i.e. 1/CRDTEST:a.dgn). The reference information table, which was updated during PASS 5, is used when generating this list. The reference list option will list the reference files for the selected files. See below for a pictorial view.
