Although automatic update should suffice most of the time there may be an occasional need to manually update all projects, a specific project or a specific file with its latest references. In this situation, the local TIMS3 administrator must perform Manual update using the TIMS Cleanup Utility. The TIMS Cleanup utility can only be executed on the TIMS3 file server.
To manually update references, open the TIMS Cleanup utility on the TIMS3 file server and select the 'Update References' from the toolbar pull-down options. The window display should update the toolbar command buttons similar to those shown below.

The TIMS Cleanup utility 'Update Reference List' view provides a hierarchy of server and projects. See the following legend for identification of these object icons.

To manually update all projects, click the 'Update All' button on the toolbar. See figure below..

To manually update a specific project, select the project in the tree view on the left and click 'update Project' button. See figure below.

To manually update references of a specific set of documents in a project, select the list of files (using shift or ctrl with left mouse button) and right click on the last document selection. On the right click menu click the only menu command 'Update' to start the update process. See figure below.
